IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!! 2020-03-10T14:53:20+00:00
Dear guests,
On March 8, the Government of Romania banned until the end of March  any event gathering more than 1000 people.
Complying with the Government’s strategy against the spread of the coronavirus, the Romanian DanceSport Federation (RDSF) together with the DanceMasters 2020 Organizers have to postpone the event originally scheduled for March 27-29, until the circumstances would allow it to run properly.
Working together with the WDSF and the RDSF we are confident that we will find the best date for the event, in the second part of the year and we’ll promptly inform you about the new date when it will be agreed upon.

2018: Happy 100th Birthday, Romania! 2018-02-07T07:45:58+00:00

2018 is the year when we, Romanians, celebrate 100 years since the most important event in the Romanian modern history: the Great Union (or the Unification of Great Romania).

On December 1, 1918, the Marea Adunare Națională (Grand National Assembly) of Romanians of Transylvania and Hungary, consisting of 1,228 elected representatives of the Romanians in Transylvania, Banat, Crişana and Maramureş, convened in Alba Iulia and decreed (by unanimous vote) “the unification of those Romanians and of all the territories inhabited by them with Romania” with the preservation of local autonomy and the equality of nationalities and religions. The resolution voted by the Grand National Assembly stipulated also the “fundamental principles for the foundation of the new Romanian State: full national freedom for all cohabiting peoples. Every nation will be educated, administered and judged in its own language by individuals of its own, and each nation will receive the right to be represented in the legislative bodies and government of the country in proportion to the number of individuals that make up it.”

Earlier that year, on April 9, the Sfatul Țării (National Council) of Bessarabia decided with 86 votes for, 3 against and 36 abstaining, for union with the Kingdom of Romania, conditional upon the fulfillment of agrarian reform, local autonomy, and respect for universal human rights.

The union of Bucovina with Romania represented a series of political events culminating in the unanimous vote by the General Assembly of Bucovina on November 15, 1918, of the union of the former Duchy of Bucovina with the Kingdom of Romania.

Romanians are not the only ones who celebrate a century since the most important event in their modern history: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland declared their independence in 1918.
